Why should I mention
"honeymoon" while making
reservations?
Special accommodations and
gifts, ranging from upgraded
rooms to flowers, fruit
baskets and free champagne,
are often given to
honeymooners. In Tahiti
and Fiji, the lowest rates are
often for honeymoon couples.
What is an all-inclusive
honeymoon resort?
The convenience of an
all-inclusive for today´s busy
couples is sublime, but the
food, lodgings and service are
even better! Your fantastic
gourmet meals, premium all-day
cocktail service and, of
course, luxurious
accommodations, are generally
included in the price.
Many offer free golf, water
sports, tennis and fitness
centers. And in the evenings
you might enjoy live
entertainment, music, a
romantic swim by moonlight,
and even a sauna to cap off a
perfect day. Plus, you
won´t have to think about
exchanging currency or wonder
where you put your wallet.
How can we save money on
honeymoon meals?
If you're going to spend some
of your honeymoon in a hotel,
be sure it is equipped with a
small kitchen or at least a
mini-frige. That way,
you can buy a few treats and
staples at a local market.
Have a few romantic picnics in
your room, rather than paying
for room service, restaurant
meals and beverages.
That way, when you do have a
night on the town, you'll be
able to splurge with the money
you've saved.
What is a "destination
wedding"?
Destination weddings are one
of the most convenient choices
for busy couples, providing
the special extras that
wedding day dreams are made
of. All you´ll need to bring
is your suitcase, a spirit of
adventure and your one true
love. These convenient
and often lavish
wedding/travel packages can be
arranged for nearly any
honeymoon site, from Italian
villas to tropical beaches,
not to mention elegant
nautical nuptials aboard
cruise ships.
We can help organize guests´
airline arrangements too. Packages often include
the cake, flowers and
decorations, photographs--even
manicures and announcement
cards, not to mention
reservations at the resort.
How do we start planning our
honeymoon?
When it comes to
honeymoons, there´s one thing
we just can´t stress enough:
planning! Before you make even
one fun choice, there are a
few decisions you´ll need to
make together.
1. How soon after the
wedding do you plan to take
your honeymoon?
2. For how long can you
get away, considering work
schedules?
3. How much can you
afford to spend on a
honeymoon?
4. How far do you want
to travel? Do you want
to keep the flight to 3 hours,
or 13 hours?
5. Do you prefer city or
beach? Mountains or desert?
Maybe a cruise?
6. What types of sports
and activities do you both
enjoy?
How early should we book our
honeymoon?
The amount of time between the
date of your honeymoon and
booking a travel package
depends on what sort of
honeymoon you have in mind. If
you´re thinking about a
cruise, it´s a good idea to
plan well in advance--a year
ahead, while not always
necessary, wouldn´t be
unusual.
If you´re planning to
honeymoon in a very popular
destination or at a popular
resort resort, it´s
also a good idea to plan way
ahead, in order to get the
best (and best deals) on the
accommodations you really
want. Six months in advance is
usually a good idea.
If you´re going to honeymoon
during the off-season of the
tropical island, resort, or
what have you, you´ll find
great deals; but again, it´s
wise to book several months in
advance.
