Close to Opunohu Bay on the northeast coast of the island, sheltered from the prevailing winds, the InterContinental Resort and Spa Moorea is located voluptuously between the mountains and lagoon.

Situated in the heart of a verdant setting of 11 hectares (27 acres), these magnificent gardens contain 165 different species of trees, plants and flowers.

Our Moorea Resort has 143 accommodation units, all with the same standards of comfort, luxury and a Polynesian theme decor. There are four categories to choose according to your taste. Click on Accommodations for floor plans and details.

Bungalow Suites under thatch, inspired by traditional Polynesian fare. They have a separate lounge area (with convertible sofa bed) in addition to the bedroom, and terraces with teak table and chairs. Their spacious bathrooms have twin wash basins and separate showers.

The bungalow suites have three types of location:

    • 50 Overwater Bungalow Suites
    • 28 Beach Bungalow Suites
    • 16 Garden Bungalow Suites

In the 2-story hotel building:

    • 48 Lanai Rooms
    • 1 Suite

Changing/Shower for Early Arrivals and Late Departures

If you did not book your accommodations to fit in with normal check in time of 14pm or if you book your departure after normal check out time of 11am , you may request the complimentary use of one of five special changing & shower rooms on the spot (not bookable in advance and available for a duration of 30 minutes maximum)

It's not for nothing that Moorea is called the Garden Island and you'll enjoy tasting our exotic local fruits and vegetables. Not to mention the fish and seafood from our lagoon and the open ocean.

There are two hotel restaurants - the delightful Fare Nui Restaurant and the more relaxed poolside Fare Hana.
